Jablanac
Jablanac
Jablanac is a village in Lika-Senj County, Croatia, located on the Adriatic Sea underneath the Velebit mountain, overlooking the island of Rab. The village used to have a ferry port that connected it to Rab, but that moved up the coast to Stinica in July 2012. The population of Jablanac is 118 and it is located in the municipality of Senj (which lies to the north).

The village has a Post Office, 2 hotels (Ablana, which currently is closed, and Lux), 1 harbour front cafe (Ruža), 1 harbour front restaurant (Lux) and a street cafe/diner (Oaza). There is 1 small supermarket (Porat, currently closed) and a Harbourmaster's office. The nearest Mini-markets are in Stinica. The village also boasts the lowest mountaineering hut in the whole of Europe which, at 20m above sea level, overlooks where the ferry used to dock. There is a newspaper kiosk and a fruit stall. Bread vans visit the village most days

Local attractions include Zavratnica inlet where you can see a sunken military ferry wreck from WW2 and stunning scenery. Nereby is the Velebit mountain and the beautiful National park "Sjeverni Velebit".
