Prožura is a settlement on the island of Mljet. It is located on the north side of the island. Prožura located in the mainland, and Prožurska Luka was built as a fishing port on the coast of Mljet channel. Residents of Prozura and Prožurska Luka were previously engaged in agriculture, fishing (due to close proximity Prožurska blatine, residents have been engaged in hunting and eel) and exports of goods svojh in Dubrovnik.

In the second half of the 20th century there was a direct boat connections to Dubrovnik, but Shutting abolished. Today the two settlements of its economy based on fishing, trade and tourism.
